CancerEducation.com has aggregated the following clinical trials databases, which indicate active protocols taking place in cancer centers throughout the United States and Europe. Each of the following databases is searchable according to your specific criteria and/or has been organized according to therapeutic indication.

PDQ -- Search the National Cancer Institute's PDQ, the world's most comprehensive cancer clinical trials database, based on specific criteria. The PDQ includes approximately 1,700 abstracts of trials that are open and accepting patients.

  • In lieu of entering specific criteria, users may access the pre-designated diagnosis listing to seek information on clinical trials of interest.

  • For more information on the many features of this comprehensive database, users are encouraged to consult the PDQ user's guide.

  • High Priority Protocols -- The National Cancer Institute, in cooperation with the Cooperative Group chairmen, designates certain clinical trials as "high priority" in order to encourage rapid accrual. The following trials have been designated high priority and are still accruing patients. To retrieve a full summary of any of these protocols, search PDQ for protocols (Clinical Trials) by ID Number.

CancerTrials -- the NCI's comprehensive clinical trials information center, includes additional information on understanding trials, deciding whether to participate in trials, finding specific trials, research news and other resources.

Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group -- Search this index of active clinical trials being researched by ECOG, one of the largest clinical cancer research organizations in the U.S. ECOG is primarily funded by NCI.

Southwest Oncology Group -- Search the Index of open protocols being researched by this cooperative research group, which is dedicated to making progress in the prevention and cure of cancer through clinical trials and basic science research.

Pediatric Oncology Branch, Bethesda, MD -- Search through the clinical protocols under research at The Pediatric Oncology Branch, an NCI facility which treats a wide variety of pediatric malignancies.

Children's Cancer Group (CCG) -- Search this listing of open protocols under research by The Children's Cancer Group (CCG), a national cooperative research devoted to the development of new treatments and cures for the cancers of children and young adults.
