CancerEducation.com has aggregated the following clinical trials
databases, which indicate active protocols taking place in cancer
centers throughout the United States and Europe. Each of the
following databases is searchable according to your specific criteria
and/or has been organized according to therapeutic indication.
PDQ -- Search the National Cancer Institute's PDQ, the world's most
comprehensive cancer clinical trials database, based on specific
criteria. The PDQ includes approximately 1,700 abstracts of trials
that are open and accepting patients.
- In lieu of entering specific criteria, users may access the
pre-designated diagnosis listing to seek information on clinical
trials of interest.
- For more information on the many features of this comprehensive
database, users are encouraged to consult the PDQ user's guide.
- High Priority Protocols -- The National Cancer Institute, in
cooperation with the Cooperative Group chairmen, designates certain
clinical trials as "high priority" in order to encourage rapid
accrual. The following trials have been designated high priority and
are still accruing patients. To retrieve a full summary of any of
these protocols, search PDQ for protocols (Clinical Trials) by ID
Number.
CancerTrials -- the NCI's comprehensive clinical trials information
center, includes additional information on understanding trials,
deciding whether to participate in trials, finding specific trials,
research news and other resources.
Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group -- Search this index of active
clinical trials being researched by ECOG, one of the largest clinical
cancer research organizations in the U.S. ECOG is primarily funded by
NCI.
Southwest Oncology Group -- Search the Index of open protocols
being researched by this cooperative research group, which is
dedicated to making progress in the prevention and cure of cancer
through clinical trials and basic science research.
Pediatric Oncology Branch, Bethesda, MD -- Search through the
clinical protocols under research at The Pediatric Oncology Branch,
an NCI facility which treats a wide variety of pediatric malignancies.
Children's Cancer Group (CCG) -- Search this listing of open
protocols under research by
The Children's Cancer Group (CCG), a national cooperative research
devoted to the development of new treatments and cures for the
cancers of children and young adults.
