cancerEducation.com Faces

Welcome to FACES
American philosopher and educator, John Dewey, once said, "An ounce of experience is better than a ton of theory." Dewey's theory on the importance of experience is said to have been the stepping stone for today's theories on audiovisual education. This kind of audiovisual information can be very simply summed up by the saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words." What this means is that video images can express those concepts and knowledge which is difficult to explain in words.

Here at cancereducation.com, we believe that there is a direct application for the use of video for cancer patients and their families. This is why we created a first-ever, video sharing platform called faces. Faces is intended to be a place where anyone can view, upload, and share videos of people affected by cancer. The upload process is monitored and only personal, cancer-related stories will be posted to the site. We hope that through our site we can educate and inspire all users. Thanks for joining us - The cancereducation.com Team
